Selena Gomez says she's taking some time off due to anxiety and depression

The singer, who recently wrapped up her Revival world tour, released a statement today to explain to fans that she's decided to take some time off to focus on her health and the unfortunate side effects of her lupus diagnosis.

"As many of you know, around a year ago I revealed that I have lupus, an illness that can affect people in different ways," the 24-year-old told People, who first reported the story. "I've discovered that anxiety, panic attacks and depression can be side effects of lupus, which can present their own challenges."

She continues, "I want to be proactive and focus on maintaining my health and happiness and have decided that the best way forward is to take some time off. Thank you to all my fans for your support. You know how special you are to me, but I need to face this head on to ensure I am doing everything possible to be my best. I know I am not alone by sharing this, I hope others will be encouraged to address their own issues"

This is SO scary! Chris brown could be in some MAJOR trouble! A new report claims he is a suspect in a criminal assault investigation after a woman claims he threatened her with a gun! 

Chris Brown, 27, is apparently being investigated after a woman apparently called 911 and claimed he threatened her with a gun, TMZ is reporting. The supposed incident happened on the morning of August 30 in LA and the site reports that Chris and the woman were apparently “in a home” when she revealed that they were arguing and he supposedly took out a gun.

The site reports that the case if currently under investigation after a woman called 911 and they responded. Chris is believed to be the only suspect according to TMZ.

Mum who sleeps naked with her 16 year old son asks for advice on whether it's "wrong"

A mother who claims to still sleep naked next to her 16-year-old son has posted a plea online asking whether it's normal - and it led to quite the debate.

The woman posted the question anonymously on Q&A website Quora , seemingly begging other parents for advice on whether she should stop. She wrote: "Is it wrong for me (a mother) to sleep naked with my 16 year old son?"

But if she was seeking reassurance, she didn't find it there,with almost everyone criticising her.I think it's absolutely wrong.What do you guys think?

Reekado banks receives his Suv from headies eight months after receiving award

Eight months after winning the Headies 2016 Next Rated award, Mavin Records artiste, Reekado Banks, has received the attached prize to the award – a car.  There was controversy after Reekado won the award over the more popular Lil Kesh at the award show earlier in the year.  That issue led to an ugly Twitter battle between their label bosses Olamide and Don Jazzy. However, both musicians have since settled their grouse and are now on friendlier terms. 

Hip TV did not reveal why it this long to give Reekado the car.

Even though her mum is globally known for her fashion sense, it was Blue Ivy who stole the show at the recently held 2016 MTV VMAs as she stepped on the red carpet wearing a dress that reportedly cost N3.4million. 
According to Yahoo Style, the dress was designed by Mischka Aoki and is from the brand’s spring/summer 2015 collection. Aptly named The Grand Royalle, the made-to-measure dress can cost anywhere between $9,859 (N3.1m) and $12,861 (N4m). 
The dress features a floor length train with a leatherette gold metallic laser cut bodice, 3D gold metallic flower appliques hand sewn individually, and waves of tulle. The 4-year-old dressed the gown down with matching high top DOLLY sneakers from Giuseppe Zanotti priced at $565 (N178, 000) and topped the outfit off with a diamond tiara by Lorraine Schwartz, according to The Cut.

The family keeps a giant killer python in one of the rooms of their house. The boy calls it Lucky and spends hours playing and sleeping with the reptile.
How can parents let the child play with its potential enemy? Well, the affection between the two seems to be mutual. The boy pets it and even kisses the snake. He hopes to have a lifelong connection and friendship with the creature.
Burmese pythons are quite capable of strangling and even swallowing humans. They have done it in the past. When the family found the snake, it was tiny (thumb size). His mother carrying the boy in the womb had a dream: a snake came to their house to protect the little one. She believes lucky is the fulfillment of that dream.
The family bathes the snake, feeds and pats it. It seems like the huge reptile easily bonds with the strangers and does not threats anyone’s life.

President Buhari declares readiness to dialogue with Boko Haram over Chibok Girls

President Muhammadu Buhari has reiterated the preparedness of the Federal Government to discuss the release of the Chibok girls kidnapped by Boko Haram terror group since 2014,

In an interview with journalists in Nairobi, Kenya at the weekend, President Buhari said the Nigerian government is ready to dialogue with bonafide leaders of the terror group who know the whereabouts of the girls.

“I have made a couple of comments on the Chibok girls and it seems to me that much of it has been politicised.

What we said is that the government which I preside over is prepared to talk to bonafide leaders of Boko Haram.

If they do not want to talk to us directly, let them pick an internationally recognised Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), convince them that they are holding the girls and that they want Nigeria to release a number of Boko Haram leaders in detention, which they are supposed to know.

If they do it through the ‘modified leadership’ of Boko Haram and they talk with an internationally recognised NGO, then Nigeria will be prepared to discuss for their release,’’ he said.

President Buhari, who spoke to the media on the margins of the sixth Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD VI), warned that the Federal Government will not waste time and resources with ‘doubtful sources’ claiming to know the whereabouts of the girls.

‘‘We want those girls out and safe. The faster we can recover them and hand them over to their parents, the better for us”.

The President maintained that the terror group, which pledged allegiance to ISIS, has been largely decimated by the gallant Nigerian military with the support of immediate neighbours from Chad, Cameroon, Niger and Benin.

“Some of the information about the division in Boko Haram is already in the press and I have read in the papers about the conflict in their leadership.

The person known in Nigeria as their leader, we understand was edged out and the Nigerian members of Boko Haram started turning themselves to the Nigerian military.

We learnt that in an air strike by the Nigeria Air Force he was wounded. Indeed their top hierarchy and lower cadre have a problem and we know this because when we came into power, they were holding 14 out of the 774 local governments in Nigeria. But now they are not holding any territory and they have split to small groups attacking soft targets,” he said.

On the militancy in the Niger Delta region, the President said the Federal Government is also open to dialogue to resolve all contending issues in the area.

“We do not believe that they (the militants) have announced ceasefire. We are trying to understand them more.
